Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.


4 .Women have a tendency to get into their car aft er shopping,eating,working,etc., and just sit (doing their check book, or making a list, etc.) DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.

AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.


5 .A Few Notes About Getting Into Your Car In a Parking Lot,or Parking
Garage:


A. Be aware: look around you; look into your car, at the passenger
side floor, and in the back seat. (And check out under the car as you
approach.)

B. If you're parked next to a big van you should enter your car from
the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

C. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle and t he
passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car,you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)


6 .ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are
horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).


7 .If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control,ALWAYS
RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ, RUN!


8 .As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women? He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.


Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird. The police told her 'Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.' The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over.
The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do,DO NOT open the door.'

He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby cry recorder and uses it to coax women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they heard baby cries outside their doors ! when they're home alone at night. Please pass this on! and DO NOT open the door for a crying baby.


This e-mail should probably be taken seriously because the Crying
Baby theory was mentioned on: America's Most Wanted this past Saturday when they profiled the serial killer in Louisiana .

Do Not Turn On Air Conditioner Once you Get in Car

Do not turn on A/C immediately as soon as you enter the car!




Please open the windows after you enter your car and do not turn ON the
air-conditioning immediately. According to a research done, the car dashboard,
sofa, air freshener emits Benzene, a Cancer causing toxin (carcinogen- take note
of the heated plastic smell in your car). In addition to causing cancer, it poisons
your bones, causes anemia, and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure
will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer may also cause miscarriage.


Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft. A car parked indoors with
the windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benzene. If parked outdoors
under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benzene level goes up
to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level... & the people inside the car will
inevitably inhale an excess amount of the toxins.


It is recommended that you open the windows and door to give time for
the interior to air out before you enter. Benzene is a toxin that affects your
kidney and liver, and is very difficult for your body to expel this toxic stuff.

The Truth about Sanitary pads and Tampons

Check the labels of the sanitary pads or tampons that you are going to
buy the next time and see whether you spot any of the familiar signs

No wonder so many women in the world suffer from cervical cancer and
womb tumors. Have you heard that tampon makers include asbestos in
tampons? Why would they do this?

Because asbestos makes you bleed more, if you bleed more, you're going
to need to use more. Why isn't this against the law since asbestos is so
dangerous? Because the powers that be, in all their wisdom (not), did
not consider tampons as being ingested, and, therefore, didn't consider
them illegal or dangerous.
This month's Essence magazine has small article about this and they
mention two manufacturers of a cotton tampon alternative. The companies

A woman getting her Ph.D. at University of Colorado at Boulder sent the
following: 'I am writing this because women are not being informed about
the dangers of something most of us use: tampons. I am taking a class
this month and I have been learning a lot about biology and women,
including much about feminine hygiene. Recently we have learned that
tampons are actually dangerous (for other reasons than TSS). I'll tell
you this - after learning about this in our class, most of the females
wound up feeling angry and upset with the tampon industry, and I for
one, am going to do something about it

HERE ! IS THE SCOOP:
Tampons contain two things that are potentially harmf ul: Rayon (for
absorbency), and dioxin (a chemical used in bleaching the products). The
tampon industry is convinced that we, as women, need bleached white
products in order to view the product as pure and clean. The problem
here is that the dioxin, which is produced in this bleaching process,
can lead to very harmful problems for a woman. Dioxin is potentially
carcinogenic cancer-associated)and is toxic to the immune and
reproductive systems. It has also been linked to endometriosis and lower
sperm counts for men. For both sexes, it breaks down the immune system.


Last September, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that
there really is no set 'acceptable' level of exposure to dioxin given
that it is cumulative and slow to disintegrate. The real danger comes
from repeated contact Karen Couppert 'Pulling the Plug on the Tampon
Industry'). I'd say using about 4-5 tampons a day, five days a month,
for 38 menstruating years is 'repeated contact', wouldn't you? Rayon
contributes to the danger of tampons and dioxin because it is a highly
absorbent substance. Therefore, when fibers from the tampons are left
behind in the vagina (as usually occurs), it creates a breeding ground
for the dioxin. It also stays in a lot longer than it would with just
cotton tampons. This is also the reason why TSS (toxic shock syndrome)
occurs.

WHAT ARE THE ALTERNATIVES?

Using feminine hygiene products that aren't bleached and that are all
cotton. Other feminine hygiene products
(pads/napkins) contain dioxin as well, but they are not nearly as
dangerous since they are not in direct contact with the vagina. The
pads/napkins need to stop being bleached, but, obviously, tampons are
the most dangerous.


So, what can you do if you can't give up using tampons? Use tampons that
are made from 100% cotton, and that are UNBLEACHED. Unfortunately, there
are very few company that make these safe tampons. They are usually
only found in health food stores.


Countries all over the world (Sweden, Germany, British Columbia, etc.)
have demanded a switch to this safer tampon, while the U.S. has decided
to keep us in the dark about it. In 1989, activists in England mounted a
campaign against chlorine bleaching. Six weeks and 50,000 letters later,
the makers of sanitary products switched to oxygen bleaching (one of the
green methods available) (MS magazine, May/June 1995).

WHAT TO DO NOW:
Tell people. Everyone. Inform them. We are being manipulated by this
industry and the government, let's do something about it! Please write
to the companies: Tampax(Tambrands), Playtex, O.B., Kotex. Call the 800
numbers listed on the boxes. Let them know that we demand a safe product
ALL COTTON UNBLEACHED TAMPONS.

Ladies Period/Menstruation caution

It has been a traditional theory that ladies are not supposed to wash their hair during their period. But there is no solution to the question why? The victim will only realize at their later stage of their life, facing the symptoms of breast and ovary cancer.

Ten steps to fight global warming

Here are 10 simple steps towards cutting your carbon emissions at home and work.

1. Change the lightbulbs. Replace one incandescent bulb with a compact fluorescent lightbulb and make a 60-80 percent electricity saving. This one small change will save 68 kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO2) a year.
2. Turn your computer off overnight. "Standby culture", or leaving appliances such as televisions, DVDs and hi-fi equipment switched on while they're not in use contributes one million tonnes of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere every year in Britain alone.
3. Calculate your carbon emissions. Take 10 minutes next time you're online to Google carbon calculator" and add up your carbon footprint. Tallying your total will give you an idea of where to cut down -- household, heating or holidays?
4. Eat local. Agriculture is responsible for about a fifth of the world's greenhouse gas emissions. Choosing local, seasonally grown food avoids carbon dioxide emissions from transporting produce around the world.
5. Reduce your red meat intake. Studies suggest producing one kg of beef releases greenhouse gases equivalent to 36.4 kg of carbon dioxide, thanks mostly to belching cattle's methane emissions.
6. Turn down the heating. About half of all the energy used at home is for heating and cooling. Turning the thermostat down two degrees can save about 800 kg of CO2 a year.
7. Turn up, and clean out the aircon. Edge your aircon up two degrees, and clean or replace dirty filters as recommended. Cleaning filters saves you money, and can save 160 kg of carbon dioxide annually.
8. Drive less, fly less. Every mile you drive adds 450 grams of CO2. Emissions from aircraft, already soaring, are predicted to account for five percent of global emissions by 2050. Carpool, walk, bike and take public transport when you can.
9. Plant a tree. One mature tree absorbs hundreds of kilograms of CO2 a year, and then stores it indefinitely in its wood fibre. Try for a native species that will promote biodiversity.
10. Reduce, re-use, recycle. Making glass bottles or aluminium cans from recycled materials uses less energy and produces less pollution than making them from scratch each time.

Avoid Drinking Fresh Sugar Cane Juice

I know this from a colleague whose father is working with the Ministry of the Environment in S'pore.
Health News - About Sugar Cane Drinks
A friend whose father works for the government health inspection
passed on his info. Their job is to inspect all hawkers, their
cooked food, their store hygiene, etc. They found sugar cane juice has
the highest content of bacteria among all food. In fact, it has
exceeded the set limit. Hence, these guys had to find out why.
They went round all sugar cane stores and watched the way the hawkers handled their
sugar cane, wash their glasses, their entire procedure. But they
couldn't find the problem.

One day, they stayed till closing time and discovered some
shocking facts! Whenever, the hawkers closed their stores, they
would wash the floor with detergent. As we know, the remaining sugar
canes will be placed at the back of the store, vertically standing and
as sugar canes are very porous, they tend to absorb whatever liquid
around them. Besides the soapy water, the dirt on hawkers' boots,
cats' urine,etc, will all be absorbed??

Now, whenever I eat at a hawker centre, I would warn all my
friends about this and of course I stopped drinking my favourite
sugar cane juice.

A friend, who loved sugar cane juice, was pregnant. She was
always drinking sugar cane juice. Anyway, one day she miscarried
and the fetus was already like 6 or 7 months old, I think. When the
doctors did an autopsy to find out why all of a sudden the fetus had died
inside her, they found traces of some chemical substance, which was
found in cat urine. Large traces of it.
While it would not be able to harm adults, it was extremely toxic
to babies,what more a fetus? So they tried to determine how this
